Hey guys,

I just got my new 6780 card and I want to test it out. what should I use? I've noticed that some common benchmarks are charging, so I would like to avoid those options.

thanks.

Yeah, just try out benchmarks that are made for real games. Synthetic benchmarks do not reflect real world performance, and they actually have the balls to charge you for it.

I always use Unigine Heaven as primary benchmark. It can stress your card under D3D 9/10/11 and OpenGL (I even use it to compare Linux vs Windows opengl perfomance), and you can tweak a lot of parameters.

Play a game with the FPS displayed. Many games also have a built-in benchmark option. Tech demo benchmarks won't tell you anything about actual gaming performance.
