Hi there,

I´m going to build but I haven´t decided whether to go low end conroe or AMD2. The x2 3800+ is around 50 euros cheaper than the cheapest conroe, but I have no knowledge on the mainboards.

Are good o/c boards for these chips similarly priced and what models do you recommend?

All advice is appreciated, thanks!

I am going with the FoxConn 590 SLI for AMD, myself. I am waiting on the 590 SLI for Intel.

Again, I'd recommend the Gigabyte DS3. Its on mwave/ewiz for $142, and it overclocks very well

currently the best board for conroe is the p5w dh (however it is expensive), dfi has a relatively inexpensive 975 board and the gigabyte 965 boards arent bad
