With so many different manufactures can you guys recomend a reasonably priced Amd xp board that has usb 2.0.
This is the criteria in order of importance.
1. stability and ease of setup [not an oc'er]
2.usb 2.0
3.sdr and ddr ram support [got a meg of sdr ram would be nice to use it]
4.raid,a real plus
5.don't need built in video.sound is ok
6.budget is around $100
Thanks,Allenv:)

I've never heard of an XP board that has USB 2.0, RAID, and supports both SDRAM and DDR RAM, and I doubt they exist. Besides, DDR RAM is CHEAP right now (256MB DDR $33 @ googlegear.com) and a LOT faster. So with that said, I would probably recommend the Abit NV7-133R which uses the nForce 415-D chipset which has USB 2.0, RAID, onboard LAN jack, and nForce MCP-D onboard sound, which is probably the best integrates sound you can get. It sells for US $97 shipped ($89 + $8 SH) at newegg.com. One note, if you're gonna go for 512MB of RAM, you might eek out a tiny bit of extra performance (and save a little $$) by buying two 256MB sticks instead of one 512MB stick.

No boards I know that have all the specs you want, however the MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU has everything you need except Sdram support, you should look at DDR boards only to get the best out of the XP CPU.

The only "problem" with the MSI board is that it exceeds his $100 limit, and is about $20 more than the Abit NV7-133R. However, I agree that it is a good board if he can swing the extra $$.
