My KT7-Raid motherboard just blew a cap, so it's time for a new board. Right now I have 1.0gb Athlon processor, but at some point in the future I would like to drop in a faster processor. I need a RAID controller.... I am running 4 hard drives and 2 CD drives. So, what's a good board to get? I was kind of eyeing the MSI K7T 266 Pro board, but I'm sure there's other options out there.

Try out the Abit NV7-133R. That is the one I have my eye on. Sure the AGP is only 4x, but that won't slow anything down for years since nothing runs at the full 4x right now anyway.

Just make sure you get the version that has a KT266A Northbridge and not the vanilla KT266. Significant difference in performance. I believe the KT266A version is the Pro2 RAID. You might also want to check out some of the KT333 boards like the Asus A7V333 w/ RAID. Newegg sells them for pretty cheap, and for a while they were selling refurbed units for like $40.

my gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra has RAID support... not sure how "good" it is since i'm not doing raid, but the mobo for everything else (unless you're a picky o/c'er)
