Good AMD future proof MOTHERBOARD

Tell me a good future proof motherboard in the following categories; (preferably AMD)

1. Budget
2. Medium
3. Performance
4. Extreme
 
future proof?

You do know that AM2 is only a handful of months away from release? As such future proofing your motherboard is a bit of a waste of time, no, correction, it's impossible.

And WTF is this "Extreme" bollocks? One with flashy lights and a racing stripe?
 
Get an Asus A8N32-Sli <-- True SLI!
Then get Vista.
Then get a Vid card that supports DX10.

OR

Wait for whatever comes out after the PCIe 16x slot.
 
Its not AMD, but check out some 486 motherboards. They are defenetly protected from the future.
 
Just get a really cheap one then when it's outdated you fell better about replacing it. I'd suggest an Abit UL8, you can't beat the price/performance ratio.
