New Egg has a combo going on right now which includes:
GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3
AMD FX-6300
Is this a good combo for a rank newbie? I'm looking to minimize my chance of Mobo DOA's, driver issues, and bios updates. I'm willing to pay a bit more for a mobo if I know that it's going to be less trouble prone for me. This one seems to be well reviewed. I'll have enough troubles putting this together, without creating more by buying something trouble prone.
I'm already a bit worried about the possible BIOS update to recognize the chip. I don't know any other builders close, and I don't want to have to go out and buy a older AMD chip just to do the update.
Not looking to debate CPU here. Just want to determine what the most pain free route may be on a motherboard choice (if such a thing exists). I don't really need the 990FX functionality, but would go there if someone could tell me why it would be a good idea to make this build go together with less issues. Thanks!
