Hey all,

Just wondering what chipsets are the most stable and reliable for AM2. Are Nforce chipsets the best, or are the ATI/AMD chipsets better now?

AMD 780g - primo IGP (just out) HD BluRay playbacl via IGP, ATI Radeon HD 3200, Hybrid CrossFireX, PCIe2.0 x16 DDR2 1066

AMD 690g - Q207 IGP (still smokin') ATI Radeon Xpress 1250, PCIe x16, DDR2 800

AMD 790fx - Q407 ""CrossFireX"" : 4 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (2 @ x16 lanes / 4 @ x8 lanes) DDR2 1066

AMD 790x - Q407 ""CrossFire"" 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (1 @ x16 lanes / 2 'operate' @ x8) DDR2 1066

AMD 770 - Q407 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16

The 780g brought forth SB700. Other 700 series chipsets currently have SB600 and will be revised to SB7xx in new versions this year.

Here's a wiki. I'll let someone else handle nforce ... 🙂
