What features are you looking for?

uATX, ATX, Firewire, SLI?

I just built an ASUS-M2N-E for myself since i didn't need lots of bells and whistles. I was going with a Gigabyte but made a last minute move for the ASUS because it had the same features but more fan headers. It's not considered a high end board since it lacks a few widgets, but I already own a Firewire card and don't need SLI. It has met all my needs and and it OC's fairly well- I have an X2-5600 so there's not much headroom. The last time I checked it was $98 with free shipping from Newegg.

Early issues with the BIOS were resolved with the one I got. It came loaded with the latest version and runs perfect. ASUS makes a few variants on the M2N but may be slightly out of your price range.

The Gigabyte 690G mATX and full ATX boards I think are a very good value for the money.

Make sure if you're going mATX to get the 690G Gigabyte and not the 690V one.

well mainly looking for a standard atx board with very solid overclocking. Not looking for SLi. firewire doesn't really matter as i could always just get a card. let me know what you guys r thinking.

I'm have decided to TRY and wait till Barcelona comes out so I can make sure I get a board that is compatable for it. I dont know if we can trust these board makers to release a bios for our AM2 boards that we buy before then.

I have seen this happen in the past when a new CPU comes out and some board makers want you to buy another board instead of release a bios for it :frown:

GIGABYTE GA-MA69G-S3H. It has most if not all the OC features. I'm pretty sure this is what I will end up with as soon as I know if it will support AMD's new CPU line-up for the desk-top.
