I am looking for a stable motherboard that supports AMD Athlon Chips (2200 XP). Has a 32 mb onboard video, lan and sound. I want the board to be under a hundred dollars. I have some freinds and family that want computers and I dont want to build them a junk computer.

Does anyone have any reccomendations? I was looking at a Biostar board but it didnt have on board video.

Thanks

Go with the shuttle MN31N. It cost only $95 shipped at newegg.com and has the MCP-T southbridge that gives you firewire, and Soundstorm sound card.

You may want to check pricewatch for the MN31N. It is only $79 at eXcaliberPC which also has good resellerratings. They have slow standard shipping at $5, unless you pay more.

Well ... the only options for under $100 are:
1. Shuttle MN31N
2. Maybe some ECS MB
3. Soltek SL-75MRN-L (NewEgg and Iocombo may have them)
4. Albatron Albatron KM18G PRO 2.0

if you can find the Soltek one, I think it's the most decent among all and the price was (once) around $89 at googlegear or newegg.

Any of these should do - Biostar M7VIG Pro, Shuttle MN31N, Chaintech 7NIF2, Biostar M7NCG... There are others, but these come to mind most easily at the moment.

By far the best for the money: MSI KM2M Combo L. See my review in the "User Review" section of www.techIMO.com and buyer comments on newegg. Just update to 1.2 or higher version of BIOS if it doesn't come that way. Best ver.1.0 mobo I ever bought. Be sure to use the P4 power connector!
