I'd recommend Norelco's. Any of the Lift & Cut type designs. I can't soeak for the new ones but I have one that's 13 years old or so and still using it. I tried a Braun foil type razor once and it dodn't work well so I stuck with my Norelco.

But now that other companies are doing the same 3 circles doing the cutting, I'm not sure if they are all about the same or what.

the things about cheap razors is well, they're cheap.

best razor i've ever used was the braun synchro with self cleaner - and the new one they just came out with also looks pretty nice.

I would steer away from the Remington rotary type shavers. I got one for Christmas last year and it tore up my face. I was told that you have to give your face time to adjust to it, but mine never did. I blame the cheapness of the Remington. Their foil-type electric razors I had no problems with when I used it a couple years ago. I usually stick to Gillette Mach razors. But the self-cleaning Braun looks enticing. I have a good buddy who loves his, although it was a little expensive.

Amigaman I use the Remington DA307 horizontal razor and I haven't had a problem with it. Cuts nice, close, and doesn't cut the face.
