Any Days of the New CD. That's all they do is acoustic.

Opeth has some good acoustic stuff, but their other music is probably too heavy for you. Maybe you could find their songs "Harvest" and "Patterns in the Ivy" from Blackwater Park.

Opeth is probably my favorite band of all time.

Yea!! another cat power fan!!

I prefer her "wonderwall" and "Naked if I want to" cover though....

Ben Harper has been suggested but a good song of his is "Another Lonely Day"

Everybody's forgetting Dylan....

Try some Songs: Ohia too... "Her Eyes vs. The Sun" "Black Crows"

I totally agree.... one of the best acoustic versions of a song I have ever heard ;)

I love that CD, though most is really good crunchy-guitar electric.

Chris Whitley - Dirt Floor (entire CD), Perfect Day (entire CD).
Richard Thompson - Small Town Romance (a solo acoustic live CD), second CD of You?Me?Us?

Eric Clapton - Old Love, from the Unplugged album ...it has an incredible improvisation guitar sequence. Bliss ...

Oh, and anything from the Guitar Trio: Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin & Paco de Lucia. "Friday Night in San Francisco" is their masterpiece, but the last album, "Guitar Trio", is also very nice.

I Will Be There by KISS very touching song that was written by one of the members, Paul Stanley, for his son as he was going through a divorce from the boy's mother. Every father should give that tune a listen.

I agree with the people that said Oasis, there are some great accoustic Oasis songs. I personally like the accoustic songs with Noel singing better than their album stuff. Another good song to check out would be Nick Cave & the bad seeds- Mercy Seat, well any of his songs accoustic sound great really. Neil Young has a bunch of good acoustic songs also, my favorite is Needle and the Damage Done, or the acoustic version of Fuscking Up. Crosby Stills and Nash did alot of great acoustic songs also, anything from their first album is definatly worth looking at, my favorite is Helplessly Hoping.
