Good 5000rpm for p4 northwoods...

I bought a "AVC" heatsink and fan from pcpower&cooling...The fan I thought stated 5000rpm like the sunflower but in actuality it only runs 4000. Some have suggested this fan has a thermal guauge that will ramp up the spedd to 5000rpm if heat hits a certain point.

I am wondering is there a 70mm 5000rpm fan I can buy that will fit this p4 standard hsf strapdown??? If not are there any 80mm fans that will work with that p4 standard hsf mounting system....

I am at 1.8@2.52ghz w/ 1.775v....temps are 38c/51c during prime95...

I am considering a new antec power supply since my sparkle only delivers 10a on 12v rail while the antec does 15a...I have a 12v rail that falls to 11.58 during full load at 2.52ghz. It stay at 11.84 for idle. I am hoping I can get a power supply that will hold close to the 12v rail even at 2.52ghz. If I achieve that I firmly believe this chip can do more. i can post into windows at 2,592mhz but prime fails alomost immediately. If I can succesfully get a better power source I believe my temps may get into the mid 50's and I want to try to avoid this. Hence a better fan....

No t exactly what you wanted, but check out what this guy did. He was mainly interested in low noise, but I imagine you could use any 80mm or bigger fan to get more CFM which should equate to more cooling with less RPMs/less noise.
