Can i get a good psu for under 40 bucks shipped? the ones ive seen were crappy

thermaltake tr2 w0070 430W for $40 + shipping before $10 MIR from newegg. keeps my rig stable (see link in sig), sleeved cables, quiet operation. cheap and it works. i like it.

Aren't the amps on the +12 rail rather low on that particular PSU? I thought they were like 17 or 18A? Is that enough power for a modern syatem? That's the only reason I started looking at other PSUs for my upcoming build.

This $40 RaidMax has 26A on the +12. I don't know about the brand, however.

Go with a Fortron, DO NOT go with the thermaltake, they are cheap for a reason, and 18A on the 12v rail is way too low for a quality 400w PSU, let alone a 430w. Raidmax is even worse. The best bang for the buck PSU is the Fortron, it's inexpensive but still good quality.

It's made better than the Fortron, and definitely better than that ePower thing. That's pretty funny when they put LEDs and UV wrap on a PSU that's so generic that the sticker actually gives the specs for 8 different models. Nice puma sillhouette!

It doesn't have a 120mm fan, but it looks a lot more solid than anything else except their $50+ Blue Storm line. It has an SATA connector, braided cables, and the newer molex connectors. Fortrons really aren't anything special until you get into the Blue Storms. They discontinued some of the better, cheaper 120mm PSUs and replaced them with the really stripped-down SAGA line.

i dont want a used PSU. sorry but fs/ft wasnt an option in this case. i got the forton linked to me earlier thanks for all your respones
