Good 37" LCD's that are 36 3/8" or less in width?

Found out we have a little more space than we thought... Parents would prefer to stick to a big box local retailer, so what do you recommend?

1080i/720p is fine...

man, thats cutting it close. I know my 37" Westinghouse se has 37.3" horizontal. You are looking for an insanely thin bezel.

36" wide
Its not 1080P though.

I would check out some other samsungs, LGs, as they tend to make the slim bezel (but you pay for it)

sweet! I would note that the LCD's do give off some heat. so you may want to make sure there is adequate ventilation around the unit for natural convection to do its thing. If the cabinet is enclosed on top, sides, back, there may or may not be enough ventilation depending on how much clearance you have on top of the LCD.

On a side note, ever purchased an LCD from Amazon?

no, but make sure you or they do not accept the package if it comes looking like someone tossed it out of the truck and onto the dock floor.

Also, read up on their policy for DOA TVs. I'm sure they will have something about it.

And finally, have fun! Looks like a slick TV!
