I'm looking to buy a 3.5 IDE Hard Drive enclosure. I'd like to get some files off of my old 320GB hard drive, and then when I've done that, I'm going to format it and use it as an external hard drive, which I'll use solely for back up's.

Does anyone here have any recommendations on what to get?

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forums!

Are you looking to use the drive constantly or just once in a while? If for occasional use, just get a simple IDE to USB adapter (should come with a power brick for the hdd) to plug in when you need to transfer info. These are available from newegg for like $20 normally.
