Question Good 1TB NVMe in the $100 range for gaming

Do you have a MicroCenter around you?

Those are supposed to be shockingly good for the price. $95 $108 locally @ MicroCenter.

Don't get the $95 version. Spend the extra $13 and get the good one that is talked about in the link.

Viper GTS

Adata XPG 8200 Pro, HP EX920 and the Sabrent Rocket Phison E12 are the only ones worth buying IMO. The rest is slow QLC trash like the 660p, or subpar perf/$ like the Samsungs and the other cheapo drives.

The $95 one is the x2 "Pro" model, not the really fast x4 "Premium"

Is this the sabrent you mentioned? It doesn't say anything about it being phison 12.

I have inland premium as well as ex920, the ex920 falls behind, the ex950 is the one that on par with inland premium & 8200 Pro as mentioned already. These are near the 100 level on sale or lower.

I dont have experience with sabrent but hear its on par with 8200 pro. The only thing you really need to look for is warranty/support. Island isn't very good from what I heard.

I can 2nd the Sabrent rocket as a good deal, I have the PCIe 4 version.
