Okay, I'm tired at looking at 50* + temps in my shuttle even with the vcore reduced to 1.3 from 1.35v so I'm going to de-lid it, lapp the lid then re-apply the lid with Arctic Ceramique.

I'll probably be doing this one night tonight after I stop by an auto parts store and grab some Permatex black silicone adhesive to reattache the lid after I'm done.

I've done this before a few times but I'ma see if I can do it without slicing a finger open this time :)

Prior to CPU dismemberment I get the following temps in OCCT under load OC'd to 2.4ghz using 1.3v:

Core 0: 57 - 61*
Core 1: 56 - 59*

Running at stock 2.2ghz temps are 1 - 3* lower with the same 1.3v I believe.

Good Luck !

:)

I'm going to need it, every time I've de-lidded a CPU I've sliced open one or more fingers although last time I didn't slice myself until the final slice on the CPU but it left a good 3/16" deep slice in my left thumb pad :(

I'm more afraid of severing a nerve than I am messing up a CPU but once I get an idea like this in my head I'm doomed to go thru with it and I always injure myself making each job very personal indeed as I usually leave decent ammounts of flesh and blood on each project :D

I should keep an injury log for every mod I do because although the mods always go as planned I bet my friends take bets on what body part I'm going to injure to what extent o_O Even ran over my thumb with a dremmel cutting bit when I was modding my boss's HTPC case to accept an SPDIF bracket :D Oddly enough, it didnt hurt that much.

Honestly I'd like to know this as well because I haven't heard anything from anyone on this matter though I've sent 3 e-mails and PM'd ZAP about it.

As far as results I'm still at work 2 and a half hours after we closed which is the norm for me so I'll post the results by this coming monday if I'm still here.

I do not know why you would have been temporarily banned.

Real bans are of longer duration. Perhaps there was just a glitch in the matrix? In any case, looks like you are not banned anymore. You may want to ask in Personal Forum Issues. By the way, according to rule #12 of the AnandTech Forum Guidelines, you aren't supposed to contact individual moderators with issues. Just an FYI. ;)
