Been looking for headphone for the longest time. I think I am going to get one today. But which one?
Sennheiser 580I can get this for around $110
Sennheiser 570I can get this one for around $48
Or Sennheiser HD-280I can get this one for only $24!!
I need your opinion now!! I really want to buy HD 580 but it costs so much more! And I don't have an amp for it! 570 is decent but I heard that 580 is in a totally different league! 280 is closed headphone..and should be comparable to 570! So...which of you is andiophile here? What's ur take?

Get it now! It sounds great even without an amp! Those other 2 ones you have sounds like shiz!

hehe just playing around, but seriously, Sennheiser 580's are more comfortable and have better all-around responses than the two that you have.

i'm listening to sennheiser 590's right now and they sound great even with a SB Live sound card.

Trust me go either 580's or 590's

you won't regret it.

I'm on the 590's bandwagon but both the 580's and the 590's rock.

BTW I got my 590's off of ubid, for cheap, watch for them

nice to hear. my 580's had a slight break-in period of about 10-12 hours i'd say. Although I really don't know, i just know first time i got them in i was just slightly pleased, and after running them for 10-12 hours while i was away at class, I started gettign more and more used to them as time goes on. Now when I compare them to other headphones I remember the sound quite distinctly from my HD580's and would never want to part with them (unless for HD600's i suppose)

*sigh* and then a better CD player, and then a better sound card, and then start buying CD's instead of mp3's :(
