Ugly. You won't look like a mountain climber. You will look like a band nerd.

That's weird. I spent ten years in the Teams and we all wore G-Shocks. Huh. Maybe that was just us "east coasters" but I kinda doubt it. Hmm. Note to self: Don't believe everything you read in an advertisement designed to sell something.
When my original Team issue watch disintegrated after thirteen years, I bought a new G-Shock 'cause I couldn't find another that compared for the price.

Well - in my case - shock resistant meant going over the falls on a 25' wave at Pipeline, hitting the reef and coming up with the my G-shock "still tickin'".Originally posted by: krunchykrome

(it takes a licking . . . )![]()
Nice watch, big and bulky, but great for surfing (mine has a built in temp gauge) . . . best of all, I got mine as a gift for helping out the "Van's/G-shock" triple crown of surfing events in Hawaii.

What makes you think those G Shock watches are rugged? Is it the unecessary bulk? (what are those little dials for?)
