Gonna be visiting Montreal in a roadtrip...

For both IN and OUT. I hear coming back to US can be harder than leaving, so I need to know for sure.

I do know for a fact that my passport is expired. While it take short time to renew it, the trip is on super short notice as my friend asked me to go with them this Friday.

Do they just look at license or do I need to provide anything else? Again, for both leaving AND re-entering US.

Birth Certificates and DL.

What if I don't have a birth certificate? I'm a permanent resident of US. Do I just bring the green card/alien card then?

with an expired passport and only a green card, it might be safer to call someone and check.
I don't know how much you would enjoy living at the canadian border station until your passport gets renewed.

just did it on 4th of july. coming back is hell. took 3 hours on the border back to the us. u just need a passport most of the time. worth the trip tho 🙂
