I removed this post to avoid being on some kind of Hong Kong Mafia hit list
My damn brother should have known better!
First, he left feedback for an eBay seller stating that the game was pirated, then he posts this about possibly reporting him.
He knows the seller has our contact information and home address!

It is not the first time. They have had pirated games out since August 2001 for the GBA. Hell you can buy 128meg carts and a parallel connector and write games you download from IRC to your own cart. Nintendo knows about it, and they can't do much because of the lack of copywrite regulation in Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong. The vast internet doens't help this either. Just don't support pirating, that is the most you can do.

yes...some import games are pirated. i bought super mario kart advance in hk and when i took it back to my place, the game didn't work. after some inspection of the game cartridge itself, i noticed the sticker was on crooked and the cartridge just looked beat up and cheap. maybe it was just used? well...the game didn't work...just froze at the GBA splash screen. i assume they goofed when they copied the game. but anyway, i think some gba games are pirated. if not now...soon.

I know, I have one (I'm die hard man, I wouldn't go without one). It's called the Flash Advance linker, but they use flash memory and are WAY too expensive to use for pirating purposes. For the record, I have 2 DocV64s and 2 DocV64jr 512s for my N64 and I am working on a home-made unit...

It is very easy to tell if a GBA game is pirated if you compare it to a real cart. The most obvious is the security screw, it should be designed for a screwdriver with only three fins. Also look at how the label fits in the label area. The label on my pirated game is slightly too small. Also, compare the embossed "Advance" logo, specifically the border around it, which is totally different on the pirated cart...

I have the 256m linker...holds up to 8 games at once or something like that. The best thing about it is that you can download homegrown games and use them. There are a few sites out there were people upload homemade games.

You can consolidate your collection (the good games anyway) onto a single cartridge.
I also have the 64Mbit GBXchanger. Excellent when you cant find a second cart to play multiplayer with, simply rip, then flash the game and link your GBCs:)

Now that I think about it, this is a lot like managing my CDs, and is really just as legal.
