I'm a very novice golfer and have only been playing for about 4-5 months. I love the sport and I've become terribly addicted. The problem is, I'm not very good and I seem to be stuck at around the same scores, which never break below the century mark. I took a lesson from a local pro and it improved my game a bit but I did'nt really like his style.

Recently, I happened across a Golftec store and learned that they are basically a national chain of Golf teachers. Does anyone know anything about them?

don't know, but you should be able to talk to an instructor before committing to lessons.

I haven't used Golftec but did use another place that has a very similar swing analysis system. It's pretty cool because in addition to an instructor telling you what you're doing wrong you can see it frame-by-frame on high-speed video and even overlay your swing with an ideal swing to see where you're going wrong. The place I went to even burned the swing videos to CD so you can look at them later and compare your progress between lessons to see what flaws have been fixed and which still need work.

I'd highly recommend it because it will allow you to visually comprehend precisely what you're doing wrong (and right) and eventually you'll be able to start associating how the swing flaws you have affect your ball flight. Knowing that will permit you to correct those flaws far more quickly and easily.
