I'm an intermediate player looking at some of the $200 sets. I really know nothing about golf technology. I play now on an old set of Nomad (PING knockoffs) irons and a Callaway Big Bertha 3+ wood. I was wondering if there are any good sets for around $200. The local sports authority has this for $200 on sale, Dunlop Big D set:

I'm looking for something durable and consistent. I know at $200 it won't be the best stuff, as long as it doesn't effect my game negatively. Also, any comment on the $800 sets? I read a NYT article that said despite all the technology the average score isn't up much. I tend to think most of that high-priced stuff is gimmicks, anyone want to comment? 90% of the game is a good swing, i just want a solid set of clubs.
