Golf Experts: question regarding my swing.

I recently tried something very very different with my swing and SURPRISE it worked, really really well.

so well in fact, i hit about 80 straight range balls and every one was straight down the middle. well not every one but no more than 10 miss hits out of 80 range balls a very very good ratio for me.

here is what i did.

i stood extremely upright, no bend in the knees or waist (obviously this doesn't work with the shorter clubs but mostly for drivers and hybrids).

what is the negative to taking an extremely upright position when swinging a club?

not bending anything will cause problems later.

* you can't get a proper shoulder turn
* you will become off balanced
* you may hurt yourself

1. you sure about the shoulder turn? i'm getting a nice single plane swing. and it allows me to cut in or fade out based on small changes to my grip.

2. again, i find i'm hitting with good balance.

3. i played 18 today after hitting range balls and i hit well all the way around.

There is a probability you're original stance was too bent over in the first place. Your new stance may feel upright because you're used to being hunched over at address.
