I have a gas powered golf cart, it was starting just fine. Now when I try to start nothing happens. I bridged the two big postive posts on the solenoid and the golf cart will turn over, any suggestions on where to go from here?

Give us some more information on what type of cart it is...? This might help with figuring out just what the issue is...?

It sounds like a switch possibly...?

Either the solenoid is not functioning, or it is not getting the voltage from the ignition switch (telling it to relay the two posts.) If you have a voltmeter, see if the smaller wire is getting a signal when the switch is turned to start.

If it is getting a signal, it is a bad solenoid. If it is not getting a signal, it is the switch or wiring in the switch circuit.

Put it in neutral and step on the gas, do you hear a click?
If your battery is good give the solenoid a couple whacks, it may help.

If you have a voltmeter, see if the smaller wire is getting a signal when the switch is turned to start.

Check this first then...? If it is not getting voltage then it could be the neutral switch causing the issue...?
