I've always been interested to drive a car with such an insane torque/hp bias. If you open the throttle up in the lower rpm's, does the car actually, like, do stuff? I imagine it will accelerate competently from just about any RPM, but there has to be a trade-off somewhere...can you actually feel the engine running out of steam before redline?

Closest I got to something like this was my first car- had a Buick (read: torquey) V8. Factory (old BS gross) ratings were like 300hp and 410ftlbs, IIRC.

It's kind funny- it took me forever after I started driving four cylinders to truly grasp the concept of 'oohhhhh....this car isn't that slow...I just have keep it at like 4-6k to make it pull!' Heh. I was so not used to the concept of 'powerband.'
