Goldmine contact management e-mail issue

I'm having a problem where users that are using Goldmine contact management software try to pull mail from an Exchange 2000 server the attachments are not included with the mail and the message bodies are blank. They are using some type of POP3/SMTP client and the server has been configured for POP3 support. In fact Outlook and Outlook Express POP3/SMTP clients have no problems at all. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I've seen OWA act like this sometimes but that usually has to do with IIS not creating the ASPs correctly.
