Well, if the website wasn't down I imagine I'd look over it and then post back saying "That's Bad-Ass!"...alas....

Too bad the single player mode won't be recreated (I assume this is multiplayer only). I still consider Goldeneye to be my favorite Bond game.

True, but the multiplayer is what really made the game a killer success. Games (or certain aspects of those games) like Halo probably wouldn't exist if it were not for Goldeneye, or at least they wouldn't be as good.

I just hope they don't try to "fix" any "flaws" in the Goldeneye aspect of game play. It isn't a very "realism" based shooter like CS, yes you can get kills faster with headshots, and there are several one shot kill (to the head) weapons, but the body armor made the game much more like what Halo is today - where you have to have a sustained fire fight to take out your target and can't simply rely on ambush tactics alone.

But I agree with you, I don't really like any of the Bond games that came after Goldeneye, recreating the story line of those other games/movies using that same (or improved) Goldeneye engine would have been pretty sweet.

Word of warning: this supposedly comes out midnight (I'm assuming Christmas eve/the begining of Christmas day), don't wait up to play, or Santa might not come to visit ;)

Kidding aside, its a pretty cool release date if you actually care about this project.

We used to often as not play one shot kills. Sometimes you would live through the first shot for unknown reasons but it was hella fun and more fast paced. If not that we would play 50% life.
