GOLDEN SOCKET

Overclocking device that allows you to adjust the multiplier of CPUs on Socket A motherboards that don't support adjustment through BIOS or Jumpers.

..uh, I think I'd just buy a motherboard with multiplier settings than spend $50 on this POS:D

wise move, I changed my a7m266 for a ga7xdr. Just sold my socket device for $40, its a pig to have to keep removing the cpu to change the mult.

well, if you currently want a dual athlon mobo and you want to overclock, then you are out of luck unless you use the golden socket. the tyan k7 thunder is made made even better with this little device.

It actually works really nice. I got an a7m266 and i need this thing, and its worth it in my mind. No problems...yet.

well it is the ONLY game in town right now. For a tyan owner it makes extra sense. My reasoning in buying it and selling it was summed by by Optimistic '..uh, I think I'd just buy a motherboard with multiplier settings than spend $50 on this..'
