Golden Orb on VooDoo5 5500

Hey guys, I was wondering if whether or not it would be possible to put two Golden Orbs, or Chrome Orbs, on the V5 5500? Is it hard to remove the clips from the Golden Orbs? Will they bump into capacitors on the V5 5500?

The reason I ask, is because I am not satisfied with the current heatsinks. They are sloppily put on, and the chipset is uneven. I plan to lap down the heatsinks, and the chips themselves.

The last videocard I had, was a GeForce SDR. I took off the wimpy stock fan, and put on a Socket 5/7 heatsink on from Radioshack, and purchased a 19.1cfm fan. It took up two PCI slots, but overclocked at 155core/210memory quite easily.

I hear the Golden Orbs are great at cooling, and just wanna put these on the V5 5500.

hey man I would like pictures if you decide to install the Orb's on your voodoo, I love that Stuff.


EDIT: that blue Orb look like a POS! I think my card cooler kicks its But. FOr the room that that Orb takes up you would think it would work better.

I decided to go and put some RDJD socket 370 coolers on my V5 5500. I ordered them yesterday, and I'm awaiting their arrival. The Golden Orbs were just too big, and would not fit with all the capacitors around the chipsets. That's not to say the RDJD's are bad...17.6cfm on both chippies.Bliss. That airflow is worse than the setup on my SDR GeForce...but ah well...who cares? V5 5500!!
