    Anybody have any experience with employers and putting Golden key membership on their resume?

    I already belong to Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor society) and Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical and computer engineering honor society).

    Is Golden key even really reconized as being worthwhile (not a scam)? Golden key just requires a payment, where as TBP and HKN required community service, professor signatures and bent/bridge polishing/creation.

    Yeah... ;)

    Golden Key also sent a letter to my parents asking them to "Accept golden key membership on behalf of me" by paying. None of the other societies sent them anything (just sent me the invitation).

    Eta = H! HKN.

    Oh, and if Golden Key requires some academic qualification (like HKN & TBP, e.g. top x% of your class), then I'd say it may be worth something. Otherwise, I doubt it.
