i got a free chrome orb with my thunderbird and am not too impressed with it...then again, it doesn't matter too much cuz i have 7 case fans i cut in! haha

I would get a Gold orb if it was really made out of pure gold!!, i would get the Silver orb if it was really made out of pure silver this would be one heck of a cooler, prolly cool better than Swiftech MC462!!, chrome orb just sucks, copper chrome orb however only costs $15!! pretty cheap for a copper hsf, but it sucks

Do yourself a big favor and forget about buying any heatsink with the brand name Thermaltake on it..

My other computer just died...it was a P2 350Mhz with some no-name mobo...so i had to buy a very very cheap cpu/mobo really quick...i found a FIC Fb11 and a 700 Celeron for $100...it came with a Golden Orb for free...i've just been reading about it...but i wonder why no one likes them...?...i haven't tried it yet but are they that bad? their cooling efficiency is a little better than the stock intel heatsink but for that price i don't think you could expect any better. should i even use this thing?

The Golden Orb is for P3/Celeron, the Chrome Orb is for AMD.
