Never been to San Francisco and I'm really looking forward to it. I've been to LA last year and liked it a lot.

So recommend places to visit, good restaurants to eat, and clubs/lounges to go to.

When I went to LA last year the only good place that I ate at was at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills hotel and since I was driving around a lot I didn't get a chance to check out more restaurants. I also plan on visiting the OC/Laguna Beach area.

SF Bay area is much different from So. Cal. Driving downtown SF is stop and go plus the parking is almost nil. What food interest you?

Any time of food as long as it's good. Doesn't matter if it's steak, seafood, asian, etc...

In San Francisco, you have to eat at Scomas. Best seafood you will ever eat, its over the water at Fisherman's Wharf.

If its available (rare but sometimes) you have to get the Abalone. Whenever my family goes to SF we eat there (once every couple of years)

Went there on vacation this year - man, it was awesome. Made me want to move there ...

Anyways, we got to eat at Calzone's in Little Italy - god, the crust would melt in your mouth. Make sure you pickup the Lasagna Calzone if you go there, and the pizza is awesome too. I highly suggest it ...

Since its SF, what kinda clubs are you interested in? 😛

I knew someone was going to say that. lol. I've heard a lot of stories about SF, so I'd just like to say that I'm only looking for STRAIGHT clubs. 🙂

Chez Panisse and French Laundry FTW? Just make sure someone else pays.

Thanks I'm going to look into those. I've heard of French Laundry before. I think a coworker told me that it was like $250 for meal but definitely worth it. I'm gonna have to check it out.

Chez Panisse is more reasonably priced. Both are on most lists of the best restaurants in the country/world. Chez Panisse started the "local ingredients" trend and has done incredible amounts of things to support the local farm/agribusinesses

All the really cool clubs are in the Castro district--you should definitely check it out. Note--the dress code for most clubs is tight-fitting designer silk shirts, tight pants and $800 Italian snakeskin/gatorskin loafers.

😉

Cool, I heard a lot of good things about the restaurants there. Gonna have to check them out.

its a shitty ass neighborhood with a lot of bar that people feel they have to see because a lot of hippies live there.

Go to Golden Gate, the Wharf, Coit Tower, Diamond Heights

How long you in the area?
Do you have a way or a will to venture out of the city or do you prefer to stay in the city?
Are you into mostly clubs and food, or do you like outdoor scenery?

PM me for LA food recs. I got a virtual wiki of food joints in my head. Just let me know price/area/cuisine
