have you gotten the h2o eq already?

The GTZ is kinda outdated by the XT, and even then i think the EK HF beats it as well.
I would recommend you spend a bit more and get a DDC or a D5 pump with top.

ok so i will upgrade the pump to Swiftech MCP655-B™ 12v Water Pump w/ 3/8" Conversion Kit (317 GPH) $89.95

i will also upgrade to Swiftech Apogee XT Extreme "Flagship" Performance CPU Waterblock (Sockets 775 / 1156 / 1366) $79.99 with the socket am3 for $9.95

what fans would you recommend for the XSPC RX240

Also i wanted to ask it seems like the XSPC RX240 is like 2x220 put togather so it seems like a quad rad to me from looking at the picture's

I am not super worried about noise as long as it dont sound like a jet engine lol

Also i did some math now this might be right but i am unsure i took a guess at the temps with the pump now this could be current or wrong

here is the tech details fromSwiftech MCP655-B

5.28 gpm 20 lpm 317 gph 0.3333 1395.1938 watt's Amd 125watt 0.08 5850 170watt 0.12 total 21c

so the pump can put otu 1,395k watt's now i cant find a max watt's for XSPC RX240

Are you sold on that case? It's not the most WC friendly and for what you're cooling you may want to have some extra options in the radiator department, especially since you may be having twins.

A few cases to look at.

Cooler Master HAF 932
Cooler Master ATCS 840
Cooler Master Cosmos S
Silverstone TJ07
Corsair Obsidian 800d

All these cases allow for thick triple XSPC RX360 type radiators.

the cooler master are ugly to me and the corsair is a little out of my price range plus the cooler master dont have a full window =/ if it did i would be sold. i was thinking of getting the 932 Amd limited case but i like blue more then red

I was thinking of the 932 tho but the no full window kinds kill's it unless i went with the black and replaced the fan's with blue and decked it out in blue.

now from my understanding the RSX240 would be good for the phenom ii 955 and 1 5850 and then i would more then likey get other 240 unless if i get the RX360 now and it would allow me to add other 5850 with out having to add other red

**Update** after looking up the cosair and figure i can just spend the extra $150 for the case cuz after look at it and some reviews for water cooling it would think it would make my life easier

and i will get XSPC RX360 Triple 120mm Radiator

what fans could i go with, i was thinking.

Nexus LED D12SL-12WL 120mm White LED Case Fan - Retail $13.99 i wish i knew how bright this was

XIGMATEK XLF-F1254 120mm White LED Case Fan - Retail $9.99

i wanna try to make a white case :p

no no lol i am happy with the black case. i like black case's i wanna try the white led fans :D and change from blue to white.

Ill be happy if i get good temps with the w/c setup i got i belive the RX360 would cool the amd and 5850 good and even if i add other 5850 i belive it would still do good. because i might end up picking up other 5850 waterblock and get other 5850 in the summer time.

I just wonder how good my temps with be, with spending about $600-700 on a w/c setup.

i was going to go intel at first but then i was thinking and looked up some reviews and whe nit comes to gaming the amd hold's it own and it would be eays for my to o/c and i wonder how hard it would be to hit 4ghz or if i am lucky 4.5 lol

Well pre-overclock

100w - Phenom II 955
100w - 5850

200w

XSPC RX360

Shows with 1415rpm fans it can handle 238w and maintain a 5c water in air out delta, which is exceptional water cooling.

However, as the 955 nears 4ghz it will be eating another 100w.

So at 300w it would put it in the still above average until you hit the 475w range where you would be at 10c water in air out; thus, allowing for decent water with 2 5850s.

did u get the core hardware yet?

My advice to anyone is always to max out your core hardware b4 you attempt a migration.

Theres a few reasons why i tell people this.

1. Its easier to debug for DOA hardware on air.
2. Its a PITFA to unloop something when you find out its not working.

Also seeing how your h2o is a large chunk of budget, did you consider a higher platform on air instead?

If you absorb'd your h2o budget into your core budget you could get a pretty mean i7 system without water, that would dance around the PHII system with water.

yeah i am going to be ordering my parts this week for the core system then i was going to order the w/c about week after. because i was going t otest my core parts in a stress test for a week to make sure that it works and is stable.

I looked up reviews from the core i7 and the phenom and looked up both from xfire and both came up close all i do is game i dont do anything cpu demanding

thats why i am ordering the ASUS Crosshair III Formula for 2 full pci-e 16x

now i was thinking i looked up other case and had a idea about my loop setup

LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 put a Black Ice GTX Xtreme 120 Radiator - Black on the back 120mm fan

put other Black Ice GT Stealth 240 X-Flow Radiator (Black) and put it up top where the 120mm fans

I would have 2 rad's so i could run Res - Pump - CPU - 240 Rad - GPU - Misc - 120 Rad - Res

which i think it would work. plus i would save $200 and have 2 rad's

I have no experience with the LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62, but when I google it with the key word water, nothing comes up. When I look at photos it looks very small. I don't think you're going to be able to put components where you want them.

As for your radiator choices, think less on number and more on total area. There is nothing inherently wrong with HWL stealth or GT rads, there are just other rads that out perform them in the same space. (think 5-10% or so) On the other hand their extreme 140 is by the same 5-10% margin the best for its space.

My advice. Find a case you like and google image search it adding the keyword water and look at what others have done with it. Whether or not you you finally go watercooling, your initial case choice is very important.

see if i could find a guide on how much rad's can do watt's and the max they can do it would make it alot easy for me but i cant. i have looked on google thru about 50 some page's

first off lesson in h2o.

You want the biggest possible case you can tollerate, and even then it might be too small.

:p

Hmmm looking at the antec 1200, well, its a great air case, but thats just it.
Its air.

It would allow you to throw a radiator up top, however with spending a little more like schmide recommended, you can get a case which was designed for an internal water config out of the box.

The Corsair 800D is another great choice for water.

As for your core h2o parts, heres my recomendation:

If you dont care about the ultra silent catigory, (which i imo dont think you are because you dont have enough radiators for a ultra silent config)

MCR320:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCR320-QP-K-Triple-120mm-Radiator-pr-3320.html = 51.95

DDC:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP-355-12v-DC-Pump-pr-3510.html = 68.95

I am thinking u wanted a bay type res?
XSPC Bay res for DDC:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Acrylic-Dual-5.25-Reservoir-for-Laing-DDC-BayRes-One-pr-4549.html = 55.95

CPU:
This is what i personally use:
KL-360:
http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=978

Its a pricey block, but it comes with both AM2 and LGA1366 mounts.
Whatever block you decide to go with, make sure it has AM2 mounts, or once again your going to be SOL.

I would recommend the XT over the GTZ.
The XT is swiftech's new block, and it is significantly better.

GPU:
B4 you buy a GPU BLOCK Please Take a picture of the raw PCB and ask if the block will fit.

There is already a nightmare going on with the 5700, and 5800 and PCB revisions. So if you dont do this smart, you will be SOL.

Tubing:
Since your a newbie, cheap tubing is recomended, because your going to tinker, and then tinker, and then tinker some more until you got what you think is the perfect setup.

Water is addictive when done right.
Save the expensive tubing for when you got that idea of your perfect setup, and instead use these:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Masterkleer-Tubing-7-16-ID-5-8-OD-pr-3079.html = 15 x .49 = 7.35

I would recomend u use some form of clamps.
You can use zipties as clamps with that tubing and these barbs.

Silver plated Barbs:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Bitspower-True-Silver-G1-4-High-Flow-1-2-Barb-BP-SLWP-C01-pr-4397.html = 3.00 each @ 4+.
So 2 for the rad + 2 for res + (cpu block will come with barbs) + 2 Gpu
So total of 18.00 dollars however id grab 2 extra just incase, so 24.00

(BTW silver is a great anti microb... did you know that? with those barbs, all you need is straight distilled with the EQ i listed.)
If you want to be extra cautious, or your gonna be running a lot of led lights inside your case, grab one of these:
http://www.shoppts.com/sikibyia.html

Then you will need 3 fans for the radiator.
My favorate:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Scythe-Gentle-Typhoon-D1225C12B3AP-15-1850rpm-pr-4501.html
But there pricey and @ 3 thats 45 dollars.

So the cheap but excellent fan:
http://www.jab-tech.com/YATE-LOON-120mm-Case-Fan-D12SH-12-High-Speed-pr-3771.html = 3 x 3.30 = 9.90

Total b4 Cpu and Gpu = 218.10
(mmm, id grab the koolance 360 imo. because it comes with both lga1156 + lga1366 + AM2 mounts out of the box).

Other watercooling stores to try:
Performance-pcs.com
Frozencpu.com
Sidewindercomputers.com <-- another one of my personal favorite next to jab-tech.
Shoppts.com <-- another favorite of mine.

ok thanks! i was looking at Sidewindercomputers.com and found some cool things on there :D :D

ok i was looking at these 2 case's after debating over it.

COOLER MASTER COSMOS S RC-1100 $169.99
COOLER MASTER RA-1100-KWN1-GP Transparent Acrylic Side Window Panel $31.99

so i have that case and a window :D

or i can go

COOLER MASTER HAF 932 AMD Limited Edition $169.99

or

COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Blue $179.99

The cosmos 1100 looks super nice and i could get the window and add blue led's or white led's to the rad and paint the inside black :D

ok after look up some more information for the water cooling i found a good site after looking and looking.

so here is my water build

Pump Swiftech MCP355 12v DC Pump $65.95
Res XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25in Reservoir for Laing DDC $44.95
Rad ThermoChill PA120.3 3x120mm High Performance Radiator - 15mm Spacing $119.95 which would prove me with 300-600 watt loops
Cpu block Watercool HEATKILLER&#174; CPU Rev3.0 754/939/AM2 $77.95
Gpu HEATKILLER&#174; GPU-X&#178; for 5850 and 5870 ATI cards $99.95 i would order this after i get my card and look around but it would be Asus 5850 or XFX 5850
Tube Durelene PVC tubing 7/16in. ID 5/8in. OD by Saint-Gobain $0.45 x15 foot $6.75
Fittings Bitspower G1/4 True Silver 1/2in Fitting $3.25 $26 for 8 i would rather have a few extra to be safe.
Champs for the tubing Herbie Clip&#174; Nylon Hose Clamp Size E - Black for 10 would be $2.10

I will be getting 5 white led fans with blue coolant :D

here is the fans i would like to go with XIGMATEK XLF-F1254 120mm White LED Case Fan - Retail $9.99 e/a $49.95 for 5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233035

Led light's Logisys Dual White 12 in. CCFL Light Kit $6.95

then some blue water :D
Feser One F1 Cooling Fluid - UV BLUE - 1 Liter $16.95

The Grand Total for w/c is $527.45

I hope this will work. cuz it took me about 30 minutes to copy what you had above this post so it almost everything just a few differnt things

I think i will go with the cosmos and painit it black.

Now the real qestion would be is would i see good temps with this :D

And yes i know it can get addtive but i like to do it as a hobby because it will be fun on how i can push my gpu and cpu harder and have some real fun :D

How would i loop it

Using this as a exmplae
Res -> pump -> cpu -> vid card -> rad -> Res
