I need to cook a dinner course for friends. We have a fridge, range and a grill. Any suggestions?

EDIT: 9 people altogether

Grilled corn with cilantro lime butter

Husk and wash corn - set it aside.

Melt 1/2-1 stick butter in a small pan. Finely chop a handful of cilantro and add it to the butter. Then add ~1/4 cup lime juice. Add cracked pepper and salt to taste. Heat grill to high. Cook corn over direct heat while basting with the butter/cilantro mixture. Turn corn until evenly cooked on all sides, brushing with butter as necessary. Serve.

If you don't get compliments on that corn, you did something wrong.

The stories I know that begin with, "going up to the cottage this weekend," usually end with, "and they were horribly butchered by an axe wielding maniac."

Beer Can Chickens are always delicious ...
grilled corn on the cob and asparagus are always good and relativly low effort
boiled potatoes makes a good side, don't need to cook quite as long as baked, and, IMO they are better as they aren't so dry ... (usually use small red or yellow potatoes)

Souds like you're gonna have one heck of a feast :)

Enjoy!

I have had cilantro corn before and it is awesome!! Don't laugh, but a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesean cheese on it is out of this world....
