Subject says it all. I'm taking my laptop and my PDA and am wondering if anybody can point me to some free hot spots to get some freebie net time.

The hotel I'm staying at (The Riviera) doesn't seem to offer it.

TIA.

i don't know about wifi, but most hotel rooms should have their own wired lan connection, though some charge a rediculous amount extra when you use it =\

I tried this before just to test it out and it was about $9 for a day.

I don't know of any "hotspots" and doubt there are many. There's also some net cafes on the strip that are overpriced like crazy.

Try not to think about the internet for just a few days and have fun gambling and enjoying your trip! :D

It's going to be a business/pleasure trip. Actually a bachelor party for me, but in between times of drunken stupors, multitudes of breasts, and when I can get myself horizontal [edit]horizontal???!!!??? meant vertical, sheesh, you'd think I was liquored up already[/edit], I'll need to be in touch with email at least for business.

best and most reliable bet would be the in-room lan port then

Many (not most) of the big casinos have a network connection in the room. Some now have WI_Fi.

Cost is about $9/day - service via Cox cable.

According to the .Wi-Fi-FreeSpot Directory, there are only two places in LV. Both are away from the strip and in a restaurant & coffeee house next to each other.Wi-Fi-FreeSpot

Just go war driving. I am sure you will find some open APs that you can use for a bit.

try the lobby/reception desk area of balley's. there was an open connection there about a year ago, so it may or may not still be there. good luck... and uh, try not to spend your whole time in vegas on your laptop k?
