Can you go during the week ? It will be MUCH cheaper on the rooms.. Last time I stayed at MB Wednesday thru Saturday the room rate was something like:

Wednesday - $129
Thursday - $209
Friday - $429
Saturday - $499

If I ever go for personal trip, its going to be like on a Tuesday-Wednesday

My gf and I stayed at the MGM hotel. We upgraded our rooms to the Hollywood suites. We were very impressed with everything and we had no complaints.

Check out the Rio. It's my favorite hotel there. (Don't know about a pool, I have other things to do in LV...)

When I was there I stayed at the MGM Grand. Clean, nice rooms, no complaints.

I am staying at the Venetian with my girlfriend. You can check priceline if you want Venetian. I got a rate of 130 dollars a night wed - fri night.

The Flamingo had a pretty good pool if I remember correctly. Otherwise, go by the other poster's recomendations.

The Monte Carlo has a great pool - very big with a sort of river-type channel snaking around it. Great brewery too!

The Hard Rock pool scene is second to none, but comes a price.

Find out who comps the best for your play. Then play accordingly and your stay should be free and you should not have to pay for meals either.

Back in 1995, the wife and I went to the rio. When we checked out, the room ended up being comped, the meals were free, and our plane tickets, as well as my wife's $800+ gift shop tab were all reimbursed.

I played like a madman, but still ended up about $2k ahead, plus all the perks. :)
