Looking to buy an XP Processor, what seems to be the best overclocker in your opinion.... And were do I get an overclockers bios for my k7s5a? I have heard of people with them and having more than 100 and 133 for the fsb options but I don't lol.
Here is the story......
Right now have a ECS K7s5a board with a 1ghz axiar @ 1.33 cooled by thermalright sk-6 w/ 7krpm fan. Was looking in to doing a upgrade and was thinking about the retail box 1700+ from newegg for $132. Only reason I am looking to upgrade is I recently obtained an rma on a board that was out of warranty and since had boght a new board. Not wanting to put a good board to waste when it arrives I was thinking of getting a little duron or something to put in it but then though... why? Why not upgrade mine and put this CPU in it. But I also started to think... If I do upgrade what XP cpu would be best. I cant see paying that much for a 2000+ right now especially when a 1800+ is only 133mhz difference and over $100 less and the 1700+ is half the price of the 2000+. I was going to get retail box so I can use te heatsink off that on my 1ghz and keep the sk-6 on te xp I get.
