Taking my g/f to see Phantom of the Opera... never seen it, but heard it's really good.

What kind of dress code is there usually for operas? Never been to one. 🙂

Dress however you like, within reason of course. 😉 You're not going there to compare clothing, leave that for church.

BTW, it's a musical, not an opera, and one of the best one's ever. I've seen it three times already. 😀

if you are still here, dress business casual. please do not wear jeans!!!
like AnyMal stated, its a musical so its not AS formal as an opera. Its a great show!!! you both will love it!
I am jeleous!

Just got back.... we dressed a little formal since she had a dress she hadn't worn yet. It was about half/half with some people wearing jeans, etc and some had suits and tie.

It was very good. I like the music a lot... would go again if I had the money. 🙂

phantom is a tourist trap... jeans = overdressed 😉

I don't know about tourist trap since it was in my home town. I don't live in the big city either, but the singing and music was quite good.
