Taking wife and son to the annual NY State Fair in the morning. Anybody else here plan on going between now and the closing on labor Day?

This will mark my 25th Fair! Brings back LOTS of childhood memories every time I go. Back in the early 80s I used to spend 4-5 days there racing MY MICROD in the State Championship races.

Should be fun - looking forward to it.

I won't be going but my brother and his fiancee will be going when Larry the Cable guy is there in September. It's funny, I've been living in NY all my life and I still have never gone to the state fair:p

me to. Been able to get home to visit and hit up the Fair every year on Labor Day weekend but this year, I'm going up to see the 'Cuse/UVA football game instead a couple weeks after that.

That's another thing that makes me sad.....I only get to see Cuse games that are nationally televised. After the last 3 seasons, who the hell knows how many nationally televised games they're going to get. I know the ND game will be (since NBC is basically NDBC). So I might get to see only 1 game :( Now if gas and/or plane tickets weren't so expensive, I'd so come home for the Fair + Larry the Cable Guy and a Cuse game or 2 :(

PS- By "me too" did you mean that you moved to Illinois or just that you moved away?
