I am going to the bahamas for a week in about 2 hours. Are there any rules on what I can bring back into the U.S. such as cigars and rum?

I think you can bring back 2 litres of rum duty free, then you gotta pay duty on more, if you want more.

I don't know about cigars.

if they have coffee rum cream.. bring some of that.. even if you gotta pay extra to do so. :)

get Guavaberry Liquer. I didnt see it in the Bahamas, but didnt look much. I'm sure you can find it. Greatest 80 proof alcohol ever. Cigars and cigarettes are 200 pieces each free of charge.

STDs.

Other then that, I though US Customs had a sheet about what you could bring back and in what quantity.

This is probably something you should have worked out with your travel agent more than 2 hrs from departure. ;)

I plan on bringing back 2 liters of rum when I head to Antigua next year. :)

He's more likely to bring back parasites than STDs.

Was in Antigua a few years back. It was the hottest I'd ever been. Something like 45 Celcius with 100% humidity and no breeze.

I loved it, wife hated it.

Unless it has changed--no Cuban cigars.
Most people just sneak them in but they (the cigars) ain't cheap.

You must have been in a different Antigua.

Look at the island of Antigua's averages.

Far cry from 113 degrees that you said.

Not saying that it *couldn't* happen, just saying that it's not common at all.

I believe you can bring up to $500 back duty free, and Cuban cigars are still illegal.

However, let's just say I came across some once and they seem to be overrated.
