Mach 1's are nice, that shaker hood looks bad-ass. They run low 13's stock, and easily in the 12's with bolt-on mods that don't require boost or NOS. My vote is for the Mach

I would never spend $25k on any used Mustang.

$25k will get you a nice leftover or slightly used 2004 GTO. You have a Corvette LS1 engine with a 6 speed manual, independent rear suspension, great interior with awesome seats, and a good looking understated exterior.

YES I SAID GOOD LOOKING. If the GTO had come out of Europe, it'd be praised for its "understated elegance." But coming from Detroit it is somehow different.

If you could find one a left over 04 Mach one will be $25k or less noway in hell I would pay that much for a used one. Should be able to pick up a slighty used 390hp Cobra for that pretty easy and thats what I would do.

And the WRX is a real car and is fast but its still an ugly 4 door.

I'd buy a 2004 GTO if I wanted a GT 2+2 car

I know where you can get a brand new 6spd GTO in Yellow for $22,295

Also, EVO's are going for $24,995 at my local dealer, brand new. If you want a spoiller you have to add $595

I decided that if I choose a Mach1 I wont spend more than $21,000 for one with less than 13,000 miles

I need to test drive a GTO, last couple of GM cars have left a bad taste in my mouth :(

I found a 03 Mach1 locally with only 1100 miles but the guy wants $26k

03 Cobra's are in the low $30's

BTW my friend got a NEW '04 Mach 1 for a little under $24k last year...they were being heavily discounted because of the new '05 modesl coming out. I don't know if there anymore on lots...I saw a few new '04 Cobra's at the dealership I got my car at a few months ago.
