Going to see Rush

Got tickets for the main floor. Would have had front-row, but my brother couldn't find his credit card.

Anyone else seeing them during this tour?

Seeing them in Pittsburgh, I have been waiting for this my whole life.
Rush is by far one of the greatest bands of all time. Constantly adapting and amazing song writers. Not to mention incredibly talented. Peart is probably the greatest classic rock drummer alive, if not of all time (him, Bonham, and Moon probably tie for best, with Collins coming in second). Geddy Lee is an unique but excellent vocalist as well as being their bassist and keyboardist. Considering half the bands today can't play one instrument half as good as he can plays. And he does it while playing another and singing. And Finally the least well known of the three Lifeson. Brings the band together and gives them those rocking solo's.

Rush haters bring it on. I will physically destroy you to the 2112 overture.

Yes, Neil Peart has been their drummer for a long, long time, and still is.

Apparently he traveled to England or something, looking for a band to join. He ended up going back home to Canada (unsuccessful) and a friend of his mentioned there were some guys looking for a drummer.

The rest is...well...Rush.

Rush is a good band in that they are very good musicians and Peart writes some good lyrics, but I don't think finding something wrong with Geddy's voice means you lack musical appreciation :laugh:

Right. I always found the music so good that Geddes voice was just an afterthought but it never really bothered me anyway. I kind of like it for its uniqueness I suppose... *shrug*
