I'm flying to Seattle from Cali.

1st time flying within US since 6
1st time on plane in 12 years.

Have they done anything new on planes? Like mods? Cupholders? A Bar ?

Oh yeah, and what's there to do ?

Definitely visit the Pike Place Market. You can also jump aboad a tour boat and take a tour of the area. I brought a huge chunk of smoked salmon back with me last time I was at the market there and people have been asking for more ever since.

If you passs a Burgermaster drive-in you definitely have to stop in and have one of the best burgers and fries you will ever taste in your life. I know they have one in Bellevue, WA but I'm not sure about Seattle.

Space needle ... great sunset views.

Edit: Hell, try to get tickets to a Sonics playoff game ... that would be brilliant!

Funny to think that developers nearly got there wish and gentrified Pike Place market 20 odd years ago...

Add to the above listings the Crittendon Locks in Ballard if you like gardens and water.

Pike Place is my favorite place in Seattle. There are all sorts of neat things to see, touch, and taste. (I'm a CA transplant to WA, btw). If you like the outdoors and hiking and such, check out Snoqualmie Falls or Mt. Rainier. If you're willing to take a bit of a trip, one of my favorite activities up here is going to the San Juan Islands by ferry - BEAUTIFUL and very cool.

Did I mention beautiful women on beautiful boats?

The museum of flight is also very good.

Stand outside Qwest Field at night... they say you can still hear the Seahacks fans crying over last year's playoff loss.

Burgermaster's good, if you visit the U District there's a small hole in the wall called the Burger Hut, best burgers anywhere IMO (second maybe to In N Out). The PPM is good, might want to check out places like the Elliott Bay Bookstore if you like to read, Seattle Art Museum for some interesting art exhibits... what else? Strange living here all my life, I always forget how many cool things there are to do.

If you want to check out lots of hot college women, stop by the U District on any sunny day around 1-2PM (notice I didn't say WARM day, if the sun comes out the girls start taking off their clothes, even if it's 40 degrees out. ). Have a safe trip. :)

Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP), take the monorail to Westlake Center, from there you can walk to Pike Place Market. If you're of drinking age, there are plenty of breweries you can hit, plus bottleworks, and Northlake Pizza, two of my Seattle faves. You can catch an M's game, take the ferry to Bainbridge Island, wander around the U District, or check out the waterfront. Now I want to drive up to Seattle! :p

Drive up to Everett and take the Boing tour. It makes you feel 'tiny'.

Buy some weed, it's the best in the lower 48

I like Kirkland Roasters if they are still there. Brew pub and carnivore delite.

The Experience Music project is kind of cool (MS let us in for free last year.) Next door is a science fiction museum and I know nothing about the museum. All of this is right next to the Space Needle.

The aquarium is kind of cool and you can plan a trip to Pike's and walk the water front as a 'package'.
