going to put in my two-week notice some time today

so two fridays ago i went to an interview and got an offer the following tuesday. it was below my expectations and last friday i got $2/hr more plus $1k guaranteed signing bonus. i got a copy of the revised offer letter that was sent to the principal engineer for approval. i wanted to submit my notice last friday but i figure its best to wait till the offer was officially approved. hope i hear back today so i can put my notice in...it feels good to relieve myself of the responsibilities at my current job, i can slack the next two weeks and don't really care...
 
Good luck. I'm also looking now. Hopefully something turns up soon. I haven't been looking to long, but its still frustrating.

i got pretty lucky myself. the new job will be my third since graduating in '02. i was able to land this current job and the new one with the first company i interviewed at...i hope i can keep the streak going

well in your case its just a job...for me its part of my career so i can't burn bridges...i left my previous job in good relations with the bosses and used them as a reference this time around...

I just found out one of my two potential jobs is hanging in the air due to a hiring freeze, but I'm setting up a meeting for the other one in the next day or two. 😀
