going to Orlando and Miami....

so here is my plan for summer...I plan to go to fly to florida for 7 days in May, and my plan is to maybe fly to Orlando, stay there for a night or 2, then take GreyHound to Miami( approx 6-7 hours maybe), and stay there for a majority of the nights, and GreyHound back to Orlando to fly back.....

Now, what do you guys think? is 7 days enough to get a taste of Orlando and Miami?? I'm not really interested in the "whole disney themepark" thing, but just rather go around different places and the beach.......

Also, I wont have a car, so I dont know how this works....are there many bus stops in florida to go to and fro, and to greyhound, and from grey hound, how do I get to my hotel?? just catch a taxi??

miami wasn't that great imo. I in north beach (1 minute walk to south beach) and it simply was not that great. I would have been fine with staying there a night or maybe 2.

Why not rent a car? Will probably be less expensive than the bus trip, plus you'll have a car at your disposal.....

I'm going w/ my gf, so it wont be boring.....I'm just now consdiering if 7 days is too short or what??
