Convenient Ports: Dimension 4550 includes 6 USB 2.0 ports to support NEW 2.0 USB technology (2 front & 4 back ports), one serial port and one parallel port.

Unless you're plugging a device that does use USB 2.0 for transfers... nothing different... it won't be any slower or faster than your regular USB.

Basically, USB 1.1 has a data transfer rate of 12Mbit/s and USB 2.0 can handle up to 480Mbit/s....keep in mind that you'll still need a total of 1 IRQ for all USB devices attached and that's the real cap on your expandability. :) Happy Turkey Day!

I hate to be the Voice Of Irritation here, but do you read anything?

First "Will this system run games well?" - stick it in General Hardware or better yet, Software. :p
Then coupon codes. Thankfully the Mods were feeling chipper and didn't put foot to ass for that. :Q
First the RAM question. GH, Motherboards, or read the system specs. Clearly says "333MHz DDR RAM" on the first page.
Now USB? What's next? What colour is it?

(BTW, all currently shipping Dells are black.)

How about you skim through the papers and specs on what you're about to drop $1.3K on? Or are you just content to nef like a champ under the guise of asking hardware questions?

Sorry for the ranting, raging and flaming. But I had to get it out.
