of if you want 'gourmet dogs' you can goto crif dogs on st marks and ave a. or dogs on park which is on 7th and ave a. both are right across the street from thompkins square park, its nice, and walk down a little further and you can hit all the bars and clubs in alphabet city. also right next door to crif dogs is a place called australian. they have ice cream and chocolates. nice place.

Oh, and Papaya King is better than Grey's, IMO. Check citysearch for locations.

blasphemer! :)

fyi:

there's a gray's papaya on 8th st and 6th ave so it's near the village.

there's a gray's at 38th st and 8th ave which is pretty near times square and bryant park and the ny public library.

there's a gray's at 72nd and broadway so it's near lincoln center and the upper west side.
What can I say? I think Papaya King has the better Papaya drink! They've got equally good hot dogs, IMO.

ah, yes, i usually get the orange drink and stay away from the papaya since i don't think it's included in gray's recession special which iirc was around $2.10 for 2 hot dogs + drink.

EDIT: my fyi was directed at the OP, sorry for the confusion :)

To steer this away from being a hot dog thread and back to the question at hand, what about Serendipity 3 (the restaurant from the movie)? I personally think it's cramped and overpriced, but girls seem to like it. Skating at Rockefeller Center or Wollman Rink (Central Park)? Row boating at Central Park?
