Going to Napa this summer... Ok to fly into Oakland?

Were going to a friends wedding this summer in Napa Valley... Decided we would get there a few days early and explore San Francisco and a little bit of the California coast before heading to the wedding.

Seems like there are quite a bit more "low cost" airlines that fly into Oakland... I know it's not far from San Francisco, but is it alright to fly into?

I live in San Jose, and my departures/arrivals are evenly split between the SJ, SF, and Oakland airports.

Just don't stop and ask for directions if you come in late 😉 .

it should be ok. you're fairly close to the bay bridge, which will take you into the city. just rent a car. and don't explore oakland.

Just found tickets from TPA -> SFO for $243 round trip including taxes 😀

WTF are my tickets to Costa Rica over $450 this year, this trip is about 2-3x as far.

The area around the Oakland International Airport really isn't bad. 😉
