Going to Myrtle Beach for a week

I'm leaving in a few days to go to Myrtle Beach for a few weeks. What's some good stuff to do? Keep in mind that it is going to be my wife and I and our kids and her folks and brother so no strip clubs or anything. I would love to hit up a brewery though if anyone knows if there are any relatively close.

I would say the Boardwalk, but I think it's being taken out.......too bad. Nice just to walk around in the evenings and enjoy the stuff.

Family Kingdom water park and the amusement park are good for the kids and the lazy river for the adults!

As for that, I spent most of my time floating around the lazy river in the hotel and playing around on the beach!

Look out, I think it's jellyfish season there. Beaches might be covered with blobby stinging messes in some parts.

I went to Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago during bike week. It was a great time, though I can?t really recommend anything because I just enjoyed body boarding and drinking beer relaxing on the beach. I did hike a nice secluded park (Huntington Beach state park) just south of Myrtle. The water should be warm as bath water by now, I?m sure you will have fun.:beer:
